#1 -Lake Sevan: This is the largest body of water in Armenia and one of the largest fresh water lakes in Eurasia. It is the summer capital of Armenians. #3 -Lake Arpi: Located in the Shirak Province of Armenia, and this lake is the second most important body of water in the said country, it is originated from a volcano tectonic earthquake or the movements of magma. There is also more than 100 species of birds have been observed around the lake like grey crane, golden eagle, dessert eagle, black stork and big heron! But wait, there’s more! It is also rich in flora that gives the lake a wonderful view so don’t forget to bring your camera and snap a lot of beautiful photos.
#4 -Lake Kari: This beautiful lake can be reached by some hiking up a hill of mount Aragats or by four wheels from Byurakan village by quite steep asphalted road. The lake is mostly form by ice and snow with blue color water, beside of the lake there is a meteorological station and a small restaurant and small hotel. The restaurant is famous with its soup called khash that will make your body warm in that cold place. Aragats is one of the highest mountain in Armenia and in Caucasus so better to wear warm cloths while going to the lake which is on top of the mountain.
#5 -Swan Lake: It is a man made lake located in the center of Yerevan city near to the North Ave, couples and families are visiting the lake to rest while having the tour in the city. In the winter time, this beautiful man made lake offers ice skating for 3 months as they make it an ice skating rink with lights and music, in front of the lake there is also a fast food like KFC and Pizza hut for your hungry tummy.
