
This is Armenian Apple, it has an scientific name Prunus Armeniaca that first used in the year of 1623. Other countries like Iran, France and Italy are also producing this fruit worldwide but what they have is just only a species of this fruit because Apricot is originated in Armenia, so the genuine delicious taste of it can only be found in Armenia.
It’s not just only a unique and tasty fruit but it is also reach of nutrients. In a 100 gram amount, raw apricots supply 48 calories and are composed of 11% of carbohydrates, 1% protein, less than 1% fat and 86% water. Raw Apricot are a moderate source of vitamin A and Vitamin C, and that is the secrete of Armenians to stay healthy and strong.

Apricot is a small tree, 8-12 m (26-39 ft) tall, with a trunk up to 40 cm (16 in) in diameter and a dense, spreading canopy. The leaves are ovate, 5-9 cm (2.0-3.5 in) long and 4-8 cm (1.6-3.1 in) wide, with a rounded base, a pointed tip and finely serrated margin.
